While Kevin Kelly received his CIBSE Gold Medal Award with all the appropriate fanfare at the prestigious CIBSE awards night in London last Autumn, CIBSE Ireland marked the occasion yesterday in more “relaxed” style.
Kevin and his family — wife Louise and daughters Shauna, Órlaith and Lana — were the principal guests at the celebratory lunch in the RDS Members' Club in Dublin. Host was CIBSE Ireland Chair Laura McMahon, assisted by members of the Committee, with Vince Arnold, CIBSE President and Ruth Carter, CEO, travelling from the UK to attend. Guests included some of Kevin's close personal friends, former work colleagues, former CIBSE Ireland Chairs and some of the CIBSE Ireland “young guns” such as Heather Holt, Chair, WiBSE and Dylan Ryan, Chair, CIBSE Ireland YEN. The occasion was informal, relaxed and full of fun, with the celebrations going on well in to the early hours of today!
