CIBSE MENA Student Representative Programme: Online Selection Session

CIBSE MENA and CIBSE YEN MENA are launching the CIBSE MENA Student Representative Programme, offering university students across the MENA region an opportunity to connect with the building services industry, engage with CIBSE and contribute to activities within their universities.

An online selection session will take place on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM UAE time via Microsoft Teams. The session will introduce students to CIBSE, CIBSE YEN and the Student Representative Programme, highlighting the opportunities available through CIBSE MENA. It will be followed by a live selection quiz for students interested in becoming Student Representatives.

The programme is open to students currently enrolled at universities within the MENA region who are studying courses related to the building services industry and are in Year 2, Year 3 or a Master's programme. Selected students must also be willing to take up CIBSE Student Membership.

Student Representatives will have the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and fellow students, support CIBSE activities and initiatives within their universities, and develop their professional networks and leadership experience. The programme also provides a pathway for students to become more involved in the wider CIBSE MENA student and young engineers community.

Participants may be asked to provide confirmation of their current university enrolment and attendance from their programme leader, professor or university administration as part of the verification process.

The selected Student Representatives will be announced during the CIBSE MENA Student Design Competition Pre-Awards Celebration on 28 October 2026. This initiative reflects CIBSE MENA's continued commitment to engaging students, supporting the next generation of building services engineers and strengthening connections between universities and industry across the region.
