Mohd Imran Shaikh is the Director of MEP at Ramboll Middle East, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering delivery across major projects in the UAE and region. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer (CEng, FCIBSE), he holds credentials including ASHRAE HBDP, BEAP, BEMP, CEM, LEED AP, CPMP, and PQP. He leads MEP design and execution with a focus on energy-efficient systems, sustainable building solutions, BIM integration, and low-carbon strategies for commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects.

As Chair of CIBSE MENA, he provides strategic direction, represents the chapter in industry forums, and advances technical and sustainability initiatives such as embodied carbon assessment and professional development programs. His contributions to the building services industry include authoring an ASHRAE eLearning course on load calculations, serving on the ASHRAE HBDP Examination Committee, and receiving recognition including the CIBSE Global Bronze Medal in 2023 and Technical Manager of the Year at the MEP Middle East Magazine Awards 2022.

Marc Lynch is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with nearly two decades of international consultancy experience, specialising in award-winning workplace environments, retrofit, and smart building integration. He leads multidisciplinary engineering teams across MEP, sustainability, and digital systems, ensuring projects are delivered with technical excellence, commercial clarity, and client alignment. Over the years, he has designed and managed the delivery of complex, sustainable buildings across sectors including corporate real estate, hospitality, healthcare, education, and transport, with several projects recognised by industry awards for innovation and sustainability.He is passionate about advancing the building services profession and delivering engineering solutions that balance performance, wellbeing, and sustainability for clients and communities alike.

As Vice Chair of CIBSE MENA, he provides strategic direction, represents the chapter in industry forums, and advances technical and sustainability initiatives such as embodied carbon assessment and professional development programs.

 

 

Yasser Ali Khan

Yasser Ali Khan is the Associate Director – Building Services at WSP in the Middle East, with over 20 years of experience in project delivery from design inception to handover. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of CIBSE (CEng, FCIBSE), he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, with expertise in building services design, project management, design management, team and resource management, testing and commissioning, and commercial oversight.

His experience includes delivering complex projects across the building services sector, including Mission Critical and Data Centre environments, with a strong focus on technical excellence, project coordination, standards compliance, and operational performance.

As Honorary Treasurer of CIBSE MENA, he supports financial governance and contributes to the committee’s activities and initiatives within the building services community. He also serves as a CIBSE Interviewer and Professional Review Assessor, supporting the professional development of engineers and contributing to the assessment and advancement of members across the profession.

Syed Atam Hayat

Syed Atam Hayat is the Sales Director at Central Ventilation Systems (CVS), based in the UAE, with over 16 years of global experience in MEP and HVAC products and solutions across the GCC and India. A Mechanical Engineer, he holds an MBA in International Business, with expertise in sales, business development, marketing, technical applications, product specification, and strategic growth. His experience includes delivering sustainable MEP and especially HVAC solutions, developing client and consultant relationships, managing key accounts, and supporting sustainable and innovative building solutions, with a strong focus on advancing sustainability across the industry.

As Honorary Secretary of CIBSE MENA, he supports committee governance, coordinates technical activities, and contributes to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the building services community. He also serves as Education Liaison Lead and Newsletter Editor & Technical Board Member for CIBSE MENA, where he has worked closely with students, mentoring and guiding them over several years, while supporting industry engagement, talent development, technical advancement, and the sharing of knowledge across the profession.

Since joining CIBSE MENA in 2017, she has progressed from administrative secretary to a senior operational role, managing high-profile events, coordinating committees, liaising with international HQ, and overseeing strategic initiatives. Her expertise includes event management, stakeholder engagement, sponsor relations, and operational process improvement, with a focus on delivering large-scale industry events and fostering member engagement.

In her role at CIBSE MENA, she drives operational efficiency, manages the execution of technical and networking events, and ensures effective communication across committees and industry partners. She plays a key role in strengthening chapter visibility, securing partnerships, and delivering initiatives that support member development and industry collaboration.
