CIBSE MENA Represented at Data Centre Infrastructure & Innovation UAE Summit 2026

CIBSE MENA was proudly represented at the Data Centre Infrastructure & Innovation UAE Summit 2026, a leading industry event focused on advancing the development, infrastructure, and financing of next-generation data centre ecosystems across the UAE.

Held with the support of key government stakeholders, including Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE) and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, the summit brought together industry leaders, developers, operators, consultants, and technology providers to discuss the future of resilient, sustainable, and high-performance data centres in the region.

Representing CIBSE MENA, Bushra Oosman, Electrical Engineer at RED Engineering Design and Chair of the CIBSE YEN MENA Committee, participated as a panel speaker on “High-Efficiency Design for Data Centres.”

The panel explored the evolving challenges facing next-generation AI data centres, including design constraints, increasing operational complexity, and growing demands on power and cooling infrastructure. Discussions also examined how grid optimisation, energy sourcing, renewable integration, and power availability are reshaping the way data centres are designed and operated.

With AI-driven workloads creating unprecedented demand for computing capacity, the conversation highlighted the importance of balancing performance, resilience, sustainability, and energy efficiency in future data centre developments.

The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and reinforced CIBSE MENA’s commitment to supporting thought leadership, professional development, and industry engagement across the built environment sector.

We are delighted to see our members actively contributing to important industry discussions and representing the region on prominent professional platforms.
