Award categories
This category rewards an individual who has excelled and gone above and beyond their current role and level of responsibility.
Judges will be looking for examples of how the nominee has achieved this level of excellence.
Great examples of this will:
- Provide evidence of how this has been achieved.
- Provide relevant/associated testimony from their peers
- Demonstrate benefits to stakeholders.
This category recognises a female engineer who has excelled within their current role and has demonstrated a level of responsibility beyond that normally expected.
Judges will be reviewing evidence submitted, that must demonstrate how the nominee has achieved this level of excellence and the impact this has had on the project(s), colleagues and the community.
Appropriate evidence will include:
- The impact the nominee has had within the sector such as mentoring, role models, promoting women in construction, project outcomes such as quality, budget, programme and social value impact.
- Description of involvement explaining how the nominee influences positive outcomes.
- Training and mentoring of individuals within the industry.Β
- Examples of volunteering within the industry.
- Testimony from peers and project stakeholders.
This category rewards a project or an initiative that has demonstrated excellence or provided real value within our industry sector, such as collaborative working, training or implementation of new technology
Judges will be looking for examples of how the nominee has achieved this level of excellence:
Judges will base their decisions on the following criteria:
- Provide evidence of what has been achieved
- Provide associated testimony from relevant stakeholders
- Demonstrate benefits to stakeholders
- Innovation
- Benefit beyond project β technical learning
- Energy Efficiency / sustainability
- Outstanding feature / achievement / circular economy
This category recognises an engineer who has excelled within their current role and has demonstrated a level of responsibility beyond that normally expected.
Judges will be reviewing evidence submitted, that must demonstrate how the nominee has achieved this level of excellence and the impact this has had on the project(s), colleagues and the community.
Appropriate evidence will include:
- The impact the nominee has had on project outcomes such as quality, budget, programme and health & safety.
- Examples of technical innovation.
- Description of involvement explaining how the nominee influenced project positive outcomes.
- Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
- Examples of volunteering within the industry.
- Testimony from peers and project stakeholders.
This category rewards a product that has demonstrated excellence or provided real value within our industry sector
Judges will be looking for examples of how the product has achieved this level of excellence:
Great examples of this will:
- Provide evidence of how this has been achieved.
- Provide associated testimony from relevant stakeholders
- Demonstrate benefits to stakeholders.
