Awards Event

The 7th Annual SDE Awards event will take place on 19 November 17.30 BST at NLA - The London Centre.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr Hywel Davies HonFCIBSE, HonFCABE as our guest speaker at the SDE Awards Night 2025. With decades of leadership in building safety and digital innovation, Hywel will share insights on the cultural transformation needed to drive meaningful change in the built environment.

Digital Champion

The judges will choose the 2025 Digital Champion selected the winners of the individual categories below. This will be the entry that best exemplifies the aims of the SDE and whose contribution deserves special recognition.

Do you know an emerging talent who’s already making a mark on the digital future of the built environment? 

The up and coming digital champion shines a spotlight on individuals in the first five years of their career who are going above and beyond to drive digital transformation in our industry. We’re looking for passionate professionals whose early contributions already set them apart as future leaders.

Do you know someone who’s redefining the digital future of the built environment?

The Digital Change Maker Award celebrates individuals who are leading the charge in digital transformation across our industry. We’re looking for digital champions who have made a real, measurable impact over the past year -those whose work in digital innovation sets them apart from their peers and inspires the wider community.

Whether it’s through:

  • Developing groundbreaking digital tools or technologies
  • Implementing innovative digital processes that drive efficiency and sustainability
  • Creating outstanding career opportunities for others in the digital space

This award recognises those who are not just keeping up with change, but driving it.
Once nominations close, we’ll shortlist the top Digital Change Makers, and then it’s over to you, the public, to vote for the winner. The finalist with the most votes will be crowned on the night of the awards.
