A STEM Ambassador is a volunteer typically from various science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) industry who engages with pupils to promote STEM in education. Their aim is to inspire pupils and teachers by showcasing how STEM is applied in different careers and everyday life, making these subjects more relatable.

The program is coordinated across the UK and aims to link education with industry, demonstrating the value of not just STEM subjects but also STEAM subjects in various job roles.

By registering as a STEM Ambassador, you’ll be able to connect with schools and colleges via the STEM Learning platform. The process to join online is straight forward, and doesn’t take long. As part of the registration process you will also be required to go through a DBS check, and once this information provided has been verified the process is complete – and you’ll be able to approach schools and offer presentations or demonstrations!
