Workplace Exhaust Ventilation Group

CIBSE Workplace Exhaust Ventilation Group

The CIBSE Workplace Exhaust Ventilation Group is focused on Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) and other related mechanical ventilation and air quality issues in the workplace.

The Group welcomes members and non-members from industry, academia, Government and other bodies to participate; diverse perspectives are welcome.

Objectives of the group:

  1. Focus on both LEV and other related mechanical ventilation and related air quality issues in the workplace.
  2. Provide a wide brief and accessible content, contributing to the charitable purpose of CIBSE.
  3. To engage and link in with other key organisations and stakeholders to support their approaches and develop joint content to be made available to the wider public.
  4. To have an immediate focus on creating guidance and content on hood designs and advice for those purchasing such systems.
  5. To update the current relevant commissioning guidance, as appropriate, and organise events to support building knowledge across the CIBSE network.
  6. To support, and feed into, the CIBSE Technical Strategy, working in collaboration with the Knowledge Management Committee (KMC).
  7. To seek collaboration with other Groups and Divisions within CIBSE.
