Duration: 3-year commitment, though you can step down beforehand

Responsibilities: The Honorary Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day administration of their Special Interest Group.
Overview:
Are you organised, passionate, and interested in helping others learn and connect?
We're looking for volunteers to help lead the Special Interest Groups by becoming an Honorary Secretary.
You’ll work with a friendly team of volunteers to provide technical events for members, opportunities to contribute to CIBSE knowledge publications and training, as well as advise the Chair and Vice Chair on CIBSE Special Interest Group governance.
What you’ll do:
- Organise committee meetings, and prepare the papers and agendas for them.
- Take minutes of committee meetings and keep a record of them.
- Follow up with committee members to ensure actions are completed.
- Advise the Chair on procedures for meetings, votes, governance rules etc.
- Co-ordinate the nominations for the Annual General Meeting and informing CIBSE Networks and Engagement Team.
- Work with the Chair, Vice Chair, Honorary Treasurer to ensure the committee delivers on their planned activities within the agreed budget and to help plan the following year's activities.
- Support Elected Members to plan and organise technical events.
