CIBSE ANZ are pleased to announce this year’s finalists for the 2021 Young Engineers Awards competition. The Awards recognise outstanding students, graduates and emerging professionals within the building services industry.
In line with the theme of Preparing for the Unknown, this year students, graduates and young engineers are each asked to respond to a question, relevant to their environment, experiences and level of industry exposure.
Now in the 5th year, we’ve seen more entries than ever before, and the calibre of the submissions exceeded the 2021 judges’ expectations. Never have the margins for scoring the Young Engineers Awards been so slight.
“I thoroughly enjoyed every entry - each person brought unique perspectives and ideas to their submission, informed by their professional and personal experiences. These ideas all have the potential to have lasting positive impacts on our built environment, making spaces sustainable, safe, and inclusive for all users. I am honoured to call these professionals my peers and look forward to implementing these ideas with them in the near future.”- Prateek Alkesh, 2021 Judging Panellist & 2020 Young Engineer of the Year.
We congratulate all entrants for the time & effort they put into their submissions and look forward to welcoming everyone attending the Awards in Sydney, on Thursday 22 July at Parliament House. The Awards ceremony will be live-streamed from 6:30pm AEST, and freely accessible for those unable to attend the function in person.
