The course closely follows CIBSE Commissioning Code M (2022) and is designed to provide an overview of the commissioning management process. The training is suitable for attendance by anyone interested in the commissioning of construction projects including client teams, consultants and contractors.
The importance of commissioning to deliver a successful project will be discussed. Attendees will learn about the role of Commissioning Manager (CxM) along with associated tasks and required skillset to perform this key function.
The course will highlight the contrast between the traditional view of commissioning, as express in the previous CIBSE Commissioning Code M, versus a view where commissioning is embedded within all stages of project development. The course also covers how commissioning can play a part during each stage of the RIBA Plan of Work.
Throughout the day delegates will have the opportunity to discuss key topics or themes through group sessions.
This course is intended to be suitable for client teams, architects, building services’ consultants, main contractors, building services sub-contractors, commissioning managers and any other interested party involved in the commissioning, building services or construction industries.
The course does not delve into technical aspects of commissioning and is focused on the management of the commissioning process rather than a detailed treatment of the commissioning activities themselves.
