The CIBSE Covid-19 Achievement Award 2021 is now closed for entries
This special award scheme has been created for 2021, in association with CIBSE Journal, to recognise the remarkable work that Building Services professionals with the Building Services supply chain have undertaken and contributed to the nation’s efforts to combat the effects of COVID-19.
Entries in this category are welcome from UK or international collaborations. Entries may be submitted by any or all members (together) of the project team, by individuals, manufacturers or companies. Nominations for this award are also welcomed. For projects the completion date must be between (1 January 2020 and 31 October 2020)
Entries are now closed for the 2021 CIBSE Building Performance Awards in the following categories:
Recognising consultancies that are meeting and exceeding client expectations of building performance and are actively spreading knowledge and best practice of building performance.
Open for entry to consultancies worldwide; three categories for entry include: up to 50 employees, 50-300 employees, and over 300 employees. Entries must relate to consultancy services delivered during the period 1 September 2018 - 31 August 2020.
This Award recognises examples of collaborative working that have delivered outstanding outcomes.
Open for entry to organisations worldwide, entries must relate to projects completed during the period 1 June 2017 - 31 August 2019.
This award recognises products or innovations that make a significant contribution to the thermal comfort element of building performance.
Open for entry to product manufacturers and system designers worldwide. Entries must relate to products or innovations introduced or launched between 1 September 2018 - 31 August 2020.
This award recognises products or innovations that make a significant contribution to the wellbeing element of building performance.
Open for entry to product manufacturers and system designers worldwide. Entries must relate to products or innovations introduced or launched between 1 September 2018 - 31 August 2020.
Recognising organisations and academics that have delivered learning and development initiatives designed to improve the understanding of building performance.
Open for entry to organisations and academics worldwide, entries must relate to initiatives delivered during the period 1 September 2018 - 31 August 2020.
This Award recognises and celebrates the achievements of a Facilities Management (FM) team or project, whether in-house or outsourced, which delivers outstanding building performance from an individual building, a site with several buildings or a portfolio of assets.
Open for entry to FM teams worldwide, entries should cover a full year of facilities management activity, supported by operational performance data during the period 1 September 2018 - 31 August 2020.
Project of the Year
There are three sector-specific project categories - Commercial/Industrial, Public and Residential. The award recognises new build projects delivering outstanding measured building performance and high levels of user satisfaction and comfort.
Open for entry to organisations worldwide, entries must relate to projects completed in the United Kingdom during the period 1 June 2017 - 31 August 2019 (see International Project of the Year for projects based outside the UK).
Recognising new build and refurbishment projects, completed outside the United Kingdom, that have delivered outstanding measured building performance and high levels of user satisfaction and comfort.
Open for entry to organisations worldwide, entries must relate to projects completed outside the United Kingdom during the period 1 June 2017 - 31 August 2019.
This Award recognises and celebrates the retrofit of a building that most effectively demonstrates high levels of user satisfaction and comfort while delivering outstanding measured building performance.
Open for entry to organisations worldwide, entries must relate to projects completed in the United Kingdom or internationally during the period 1 June 2017 - 31 August 2019.
Recognises and rewards the important work done by practicing Building Services Engineers and their contribution to the performance of the built environment. It celebrates individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to engineering in 2017-2019. Please note that this is not a lifetime achievement award.
The Engineer of the Year is a nominator-driven award; self-nominations will not be accepted.
