CIBSE Scotland welcomes Rab Bennetts OBE for an inspiring masterclass, Q&A and networking in Edinburgh.

CIBSE Scotland and the CIBSE Fellow’s Network invite all to attend this CIBSE Masterclass featuring a talk from Rab Bennetts OBE, co-founder of Bennetts Associates Architects.

Rab has always believed that environmental responsibility and architectural excellence are mutually supportive. His presentation will chart the evolution of ideas from student days in the 1970s, through ten years at multi-disciplinary Arup Associates and the formation of Bennetts Associates in 1987 up to the present day. Over nearly 40 years the practice has built up a substantial portfolio of innovative projects at all scales in many sectors, including offices, theatres and universities, the most recent being the Edinburgh Futures Institute where the CIBSE event is being held. The rigour of Bennetts Associates’ environmental analysis is embedded in all projects and the presentation will show how this influences the form of the architecture.

Note this event is open to all, not only CIBSE members or Fellows. Come along to hear Rab deliver an inspiring talk and also a chance to network while enjoying the SpACE exhibition (A&DS:SpACE - pop-up exhibition venue | A&DS)

The even will be held at the A&DS:SpACE, Level 0, Edinburgh Futures Institute East Wing, 1 Lauriston Pl, Edinburgh EH3 9EF
