CIBSE ANZ is pleased to announce that the 2026 Seminar – Lessons Learnt the Hard Way will take place on Thursday 13 August 2026, delivered as a hybrid, multi-location event across Australia and New Zealand.
The seminar will run simultaneously across the following locations:
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, with both in-person and live-stream presentations available to connect audiences across the region.

This flagship event delivers real-world project experience—what worked, what didn’t, and how we can deliver better outcomes across the built environment. The program is designed to move beyond theory, focusing on practical insights drawn directly from project delivery and operational performance.
The seminar will feature three technical streams:
- Complex Systems – lessons from landmark and architecturally complex projects
- Critical Systems – insights into healthcare and data centre performance
- Independent Perspective – candid reflections from commissioning agents and design reviewers
Each session will include short, focused presentations, local panel discussions, and interactive Q&A, ensuring strong engagement across all participating locations while connecting audiences across ANZ.
A number of industry speakers have already been confirmed, with more to be announced, bringing a diverse range of perspectives and project experience from across the region.
