CIBSE is pleased to announce the official launch of the updated CIBSE TM39: Building Metering and Monitoring, a major revision of the industry’s leading guidance on metering.
Taking place on Thursday 25 June, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, at CIBSE’s headquarters, 91–94 Saffron Hill, London, the in-person launch event will introduce attendees to the new guidance and explore how it can be applied across projects and portfolios. Attendance is free, with places available to reserve now.
Since the previous edition was published in 2009, the world of building metering has evolved significantly. The updated CIBSE TM39 reflects these changes with a broader and more comprehensive scope, expanding beyond gas and electricity to now include thermal, water and steam meters.
The revised guide has been developed to support professionals across the built environment and includes expanded content on:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Meter selection
- Communications architecture
- Installation troubleshooting
- Commissioning
- Data analytics
It also includes detailed appendices covering key areas such as Part L compliance and tenant billing.
Whether you design, install, manage or analyse data from building metering systems, this launch event offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the updated guidance and understand how CIBSE TM39 can support improved building performance and more effective energy management.
Building metering plays a vital role in helping organisations understand performance, identify inefficiencies and support the transition to net zero. The updated CIBSE TM39 has been designed to meet today’s challenges and provide practical, relevant guidance for the modern built environment.
We look forward to welcoming industry professionals to CIBSE HQ for the launch of this important publication.
