Subscription Fees

All subscription fees run on an annual basis from 1st January to 31st December each year. Fees are not dependent on the date of joining and therefore not prorated. 

Fees due when applying for membership

All SLL Affiliates, Associates, Members and Fellows will automatically become CIBSE Affiliates if they are not already a member of CIBSE see Subscription Fees | CIBSE. You will be invoiced on successful application of your membership.

If you are applying to upgrade your membership, your current subscription fees must be paid in full for your membership to remain active. Once the application has been approved, you will be charged for the remaining amount associated with your new grade of membership.

 *Application fees are payable by all applicants who do not hold an active membership of CIBSE and are non-refundable

Please note, if you are an existing member of CIBSE, you can become an Affiliate of the Society of Light and Lighting for no additional cost. Please email if you would like to join as an SLL Affiliate. 

Renewals

All annual subscription fees are due for renewal on 1 January. For information on how to renew your membership, please see Renewing Your Membership | CIBSE or email SLL.  

Reduced Subscription Rate

A reduced subscription rate is available to renewing members who meet the criteria listed at Reduced Subscription Rate | CIBSE.

Members who hold Engineering Council registration must pay an additional annual registration fee. The reduced fee is not applicable for Interim CEng or IEng registration.
