SFE Member - Membership Requirements
The class of Member is open to those who have achieved the required educational base and subsequent development to enable them to act as exponents of today´s technology, and both apply and manage its application within the broad field of facade engineering.
Members of the Society can use the designatory letters MSFE. Candidates will normally be required to satisfy one of the following criteria:

Have relevant facade engineering experience over a minimum period of seven years and have successfully completed a technical report covering a façade engineering project or topic.

Have undertaken a full or part time course at MSc level in facade engineering recognised by the Society, and have a minimum of five years relevant experience in facade engineering.

Hold membership at a professional grade of CIBSE, IStructE or RIBA and have a minimum of seven years relevant experience in other aspects of facade engineering.
Applicants who have different but equivalent experience, education, training and qualifications, will be considered.
Applicants should also show evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development.
