Mike Simpson FREng, a seasoned expert in the lighting industry with 46 years of experience, brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to his work. With a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from South Bank University, specialising in lighting, Mike's career journey led him through various technical and design roles at Philips Lighting and now Signify. Notable projects include overseeing the lighting of iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. Mike's leadership roles include serving as President of The Society of Light and Lighting and the Institution of Lighting Engineers. Recognised for his contributions, he was honored as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Committed to sustainability, Mike focuses on creating environmentally-friendly buildings and addressing the challenges of climate change. Currently, he shares his expertise as a guest lecturer at prestigious institutions such as the Bartlett School of Architecture and Rose Bruford College.
